I've spent more than 30 years helping stories come to life.
I've written more than 45 screenplays, sold a dozen projects, been represented by UTA, written two produced feature films, directed more than 50 short films, taught over 1,000 writers through UCLA Extension, and privately coached more than 100 writers developing professional-level screenplays.
But credentials aren't the reason I coach.
When I was young, I lost my father twice. First through divorce, then when he died unexpectedly when I was 17. That experience left me with a lifelong appreciation for the power of mentorship, and a deep curiosity about what lies beneath the surface of every story.
It shaped the films I directed and the stories I've written. It shaped more than 20 years I've spent in a men's group, and years coaching youth sports. And it shaped, maybe most of all, the father I've tried to become for my two sons.
I bring that same combination of professional experience, honest feedback, and genuine care into every coaching relationship. Because writing a great screenplay isn't just about mastering craft. It's about becoming the writer only you can be.
